"Wind of Change" represents the flow of life and how life continues no matter what. Our art space consists of 170 windmills that allow visitors to contemplate and meditate on the invisible earth force.

The art project we built reminds us all that no matter what, it’s in our hands to create the kind of future we want to live in. We are grateful for all our sponsors and friends who donated to our crowdfunding campaign and supported us all the way through!

Our original art idea had an emphasis on liberation from all the burdens the past few years had put on us. We still believe that art has the power to open hearts, to provide a place amidst a windy desert where we can express our feelings or maybe just contemplate the power of movement that we visualize through spinning windmills.

We still believe that art has the power to open hearts, to provide a place amidst a windy desert where we can express our feelings or maybe just contemplate the power that we visualize through spinning windmills.

Depending on the wind speed and its direction, the "act of change" or windmill spinning will appear. Some will stop, and some will spin like crazy... Some of them might get even broken, creating a metaphor for people surrounding us in daily life. However, resistant to the harsh conditions of the desert - we believe that our mills, like all of us, after these difficult years - will stand and celebrate life, no matter what.

We’re the Wind People - a team of architects and creative people with very different life stories and backgrounds but something is uniting us all – our Eastern European/ Slavic roots. Although we’ve lived in the USA for a long time, the connection to our native lands is something we will always have.

We think that we all should speak up loudly. We should speak up via what we choose, considering the “new normal future” with all the Injustice and inequality that we all are experiencing now.

We chose light and beautiful construction which brings all the positive energy through the Wind - to change the world and make it a bit better.

This year on August 20th, our team arrived at Black Rock City to start implementing the Installation- "Wind Of Change"

In 2022 year the conditions were incredible in their complexity - a lot of dust, a lot of winds. It affected our art a lot; by Wednesday it was already covered in dust. But even despite this, it cheered and sustained those who came into contact with it.
There are 170 windmills of different sizes involved in the project.

Every mill had a solar battery to light it up during Black Rock City nights and to create a cosmic experience in the nighttime as well as during the days, making our installation sustainable.
